Hommos Recipe

Hommos is a great way of enjoying protein. I have recently bought a new food processor and now I can't seem to stop making hommos - it's delicious!
Hommos Ingredients:
2 cups chickpeas
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 tsp soda
olive oil
6 garlic cloves, crushed
3/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup tahini paste
Hommos Method:
1. Soak chickpeas in large container of cold water with bicarb of soda and soak overnight.
2. Next day, remove any floating peas.
3. Cover peas with clean water in saucepan and bring to the boil over high heat until foam forms on the surface.
4. Skim foam from the water, and let chickpeas simmer for 1.5 hours.
5. Drain chickpeas and puree in food processor.
6. Add garlic, salt, tahini and lemon juice to mixture. Mix well.
7. Serve with a garnish of olive oil.
