Lost River Fleet Highlights Walk

Kenwood House -Lost River Fleet London Walk

The route of the River Fleet, one of the Lost Rivers of London is now almost completely built over, but its path is still fascinatingly visible.

The river Fleet starts in front of Kenwood House on Hampstead Heath and passes through Hampstead, Kentish Town, Camden, St. Pancras, Kings Cross, Clerkenwell and Farringdon to where it can still be seen flowing into the River Thames at Blackfriars.

Don't worry, we won't be walking the full route. In Lost River Fleet (Part I) will will start at Hampstead tube station (Northern line) and will end in Camden.

The terrain does have a few inclines (Hampstead is on a hill you know) but the viewpoints will certainly be worth it so bring your camera. There are steps and stairs and so not suitable for the less able. We will be walking on Hampstead Heath which can get muddy at times so please ensure you wear appropriate footwear.

This is a highlights walk rather than a full blown guided tour to be paid on the day. Feel free to bring friends or come on your own.
